Attachments for Your Excavator
From the construction site to the farm, excavators are incredibly useful and powerful tools to have around. That said, the right attachments can expand their uses and allow them to handle even more tasks. We want you to get the most out of your tools, so below we’ve put together a few of our favorite attachments for your excavator.
Mulcher
These attachments utilize a spinning rotor and blades to help you shred shrubs, trees, and other plants and plant debris. It’s an efficient way to clean up tree debris from the roadside or keep foliage in check, and the resulting mulch can help protect and nourish your plants.
Auger
Augers allow you to dig a large number of deep holes quickly and efficiently, turning a back-breaking job into a relatively simple one. Anywhere you need cylindrical holes, an auger comes in handy.
Bucket
This is a fairly standard excavator attachment that deserves a mention. Buckets are used to move large amounts of material around easily, to create wide holes in the ground, or to level loose material like sand or gravel. They’re often used at construction sites to help set foundations.
Hydraulic Hammer
Hydraulic hammers are used to turn concrete, stone, and other hard materials to rubble, even used to pierce frozen ground that you can’t otherwise get through. Hydraulic hammers are often used in mining operations or demolition.
Grapple Bucket
These buckets use two sets of tines that close and open on command to help you move large and heavy objects such as logs, beams, and other difficult-to-haul objects. This makes them perfect for logging jobs or transporting long, thin construction materials around the worksite. Grapple buckets are also perfect for cleaning or sorting junkyards, scrap yards, and demolition sites.
Dozer Blade
When you need the scraping power of a bulldozer but not the immense power those machines put out, you can simply buy the blade they wield as an attachment for your excavator! These blades are perfect for pushing large piles of material, scraping or leveling the ground, and doing the work of a bulldozer without the excess power and maintenance costs.
